New technology is transforming the theory and practice of psychometrics in a number of key areas:

• techniques used to research, create, score and interpret human measurement tools;
• systems to deliver measurement tools in different languages to many, geographically dispersed people;
• ways of interpreting measurement results which ensure consistency and reduce human error;
• equally importantly, influencing how wider society understands and views psychometrics.

This section of our site looks at and offers practical resources in all these areas.

Online Testing: In more recent years there has been an explosion in occupational and educational web-based testing. For instance, over 50% of occupational testing is now on-line.

Qualtrics: The Psychometrics Centre has created a relationship with Qualtrics to offer this powerful tool to UK clients. We use it for research, student projects, surveys and are using it for UK test standardisations we are carrying out.
